Tasks Update          

Task 1
First day of competition, something dawned crossed the wind; however the ceiling was over 600 meters. After conducting the briefing are generally agreed to conduct a short but interesting task.
Output Land, 1 beacon in the center of the farm, and goal downwind of the mountain on the outskirts of Nueva Gerona in the landing zone of Rodeo Viejo. To land in this area requires some expertise, yet it was not mandatory, just beyond the goal line with 200 meters high and with a tail wind this stage could reach the main landing at NW of the city.

 The first to take off had to fight a SE wind which increased, and it did almost impossible to advance to slower gliders. Some fell and were not even rate in the waypoint 1.
From this small group could only Yordi Castillo and get back to goal. Later before closing the window toke off the rest of the pilots, many of whom were able to complete the first part of the trail and get points from the waypoint 1.

Finally only one pilot in the goal.

Task 2
Second day of competition, the continued cross wind, so the committee members decided to perform the test pilots of the day in the area of Paradise Beach flights.
The task consisted of a closed circuit and short of approximately 1.5 km, and this should be flown on 5 occasions.
Waypoint 1was located in the outgoing of the mountain towards the sea, and the waypoint 2 at the entrance of the marble quarry, as well as the goal on the edge of the beach.

There was a big struggle on the part of pilots. The first pilots to take off they faced a sea breeze of the N-NE and has not yet climbed well. Then the breeze dropped and allowed the taking off doing homework in less time and without the difficulties of the past. This task provided better flight conditions to all participants, as well as enjoys the beautiful view of Paradise Beach. He also placed left to pilots who were unable to tap its task before.

Task 3
   Weather conditions improved, dawned with the wind gentle NE, and a thick layer of clouds that put the roof on the 450 meters.
The committee agreed to conduct a pilot tour broader and better exploit the area of flights. The task was to take off, making the waypoint 1 like the first day, continue flying until the middle of the Model Prison and return back to the waypoint 1. Subsequently competitors had over the town towards the Old Rodeo as a beacon 3, thence to the cemetery located N to make goal in the main landing Rodeo, located 5 km in NW of the city.

 

The first to take off were able to develop the first part of the circuit without problems. Then they began to cross the wind, why were delayed takeoffs, and the pilots who were in the air had to fight hard to gain altitude, thus completing the other part of the task.
Finally the wind rose and crossed even more, to make the task more difficult. Few could even take off with this situation.
A few were able to reach goal, thus ending the last valid task, and with this the first Paragliding Cup “15 de Mayo”.
